Nope. Neal learned from us.

Congrats on the fish. Obviously Neal is telling the SKA circuit a different story.

I'm just confused why all the sudden the change. We sat with Bobby on numerous occasions and he was begging us to fish the tourney, then he advertised heavily and pulls plug at last minute. Just bullshite.

Not sure how he is doing it, but I do believe that's the plan.

I said the same thing. Haven't seen it, but it has a center sponson. JJ's a smart guy, it was only a matter of time before he went to a cat hull. I knew he wasn't quitting over this BS, hopefully just falling back and regrouping.

It looks like we are going to start tooling up a 37' starting in the spring. We are going to take parts of the 33' and the 40' and blend them into an unbelievable platform. We intend to keep the beam under 11'6" to keep the boat trailerable.

Another feature we are going to include will be stepped hulls. This will allow increased efficiency and speed. Our goal is that the hull will run 60mph with pair of 350's. We are also planning a pod for a center engine to allow for triple engine applications for the guy looking for higher speeds.

We plan on building a running plug that will allow us to test the hull form and make any necessary modifications. If for whatever reason we cant make it work, we will be able to revert to a conventional running surface. In my opinion it is worth the effort/risk since the rewards could be significant.

Preliminary specs:

LOA: 37'
Beam: 11'4"
Draft: 20"
Max power: 1200hp
Fuel capacity: 500 gallons
fresh water: 20 gallons
2 livewells

That sounds like the best of both worlds with that much HP on a Cat. Very Interesting.....

I usually don't get overly impressed with any boat, since they all have their drawbacks and someone is always building a newer and better design. But damn, that Freeman is a fine mofo.

In his defense, when you hear Cat and trips in same sentence it does give one pause. I'm interested to see how the air flows thru hull and how it effects handling. Those things bite when you turn, so adding center engine will make a difference one way or the other.
