Starts fine, idles fine, mid range speed runs fine. But after running at high speed, when it comes back down to idle it dies. Starts back up pretty easily. Any ideas?

I have a outboard that is doing the same thing. What makes you think it is the fuel pump?

Can you smell fuel after i dies?

No but the bulb is empty and needs to be primed. Then after I let it sit a while it will fire back up and run fine. I thought it was flooding out because it won’t start right away but the bulb isn’t primed with fuel so it makes me think it’s starving itself out

pin hole somewhere and when it needs fuel the most the fuel pump is at its max. and a small amount of air is bypassing somewhere. Isn't much and you may never find it. Could be diaphragm in pump or pin hole in a line somewhere. I have chased gremlin holes enough to tell you if it is an older bike say 5 plus. change it all its worth the piece of mind over the dollar value.

Edit: not a 660.
Hmm. Check the pick up on top of the tank for cracks and the fuel filter.

check vent on gas cap, if its restricted it forms a vacuum that can stop fuel flow but clears right up after a second when the tank pressure equalizes again
