Not clogged
She cranks and runs good on the muffs... turn up fast idle to between 3,000 and 4,500 RPMs and it sounds like a miss every 30 seconds. Like a sucking or blowing sound

Seems like i may have had a similar issue with a 115 2 stroke. Cranked and idled ok, but kinda stalled out when i punched the throttle to hop up on plane. Only happened to me a few times on one fishing trip. Once i got up on plane, I ran the hell out of it hard and problem solved.

Sounds like fuel pump. But I’d get rid of the oil injection and mix yourself.

Fuel pumps on Amazon are like 40 bucks. I just need to find the right part number
I'll start with that

I was cautioned never to delete the oil injection. Someone told me that the oil is mixed differently based on rpm. Not sure if that's true or if it would even matter that much.

That recommendation came from the guys at Breaux and Daigle. Half the Yamahas in their yard were from oil injection issues.

Drunken 2 stroke outboard repairs. THIS is a proper OB thread.

Did that fix it?

Revs fine with fast idle to 5k rpms, won't turn more than 2k when under a load.

Carburetor removal denial syndrome.

Prescribe 6 beers followed by carburetor removal, flush, jewg all the jets out with wire pulled from a wire brush. Reassemble. Run shite out boat.

Update update.
4 beers. Actual mechanic friend came. Thinks it's a burnt cylinder due to whatever that hose is not being connected and running a cylinder lean.
Messaged guy who cleaned and hooked back up carberator. Yet to respond

Dis MF saying the hose between the bottom carb and cylinder popped off while I ran it in my yard.

So now let's get down to it.
That hose was disconnected
Ran it for a while, maybe 15 minutes total if that like that.
Revs fine when not under a load
Will not go over 2,000 RPMs under a load
Goes in reverse fine.

So per by natty light Google searches it could be
Burned up cylinder
Fuel pump
Some other fuel delivery issue.

Yamaha are by far the most overrated thing on the planet, there is a guy in Louisiana who rebuilts hundreds of them a year that told me they lifespan of a typical 4 stoke is 8 years. My old Seahorse did twice that. They have horrible corrosion issues

Clean the VST filter, my ox66's had the same symptom every time the vst was clogged.
