Where I yak fisk I've never caught a rat red or a keeper trout. Never had to let a red go due to them being too small and never been able to keep a trout because they were all tiny.

Quick question. I'm tryin to rig up my stuff for reds in the kayak tomorrow. I'm bringing a Shimano spinning reel, Chronarch e7, and Calcutta 200. What 3 baits/lures would y'all use?

I'm thinking gulp under cork for the spinning reel, TopDog on the Calcutta and I'm not sure what else on the Chronarch.

One should def be under a popping cork. I always have luck with reds with a standard queen cacahoe plastic under a popping cork

My go to plastic under a poppin cork for reds is and H&H black and chartreuse cocahoe too.

Gold spoon also may not be a bad idea.

That will be the spinning reel. I was thinking either a MirroLure suspending twitch bait (awesome), spoon, or spinner bait.
