I wanna go to Alaska bad, but I'm one of those guys that literally has no desire to hunt moose. However, props to you and your buddies. I know they aren't easy to kill.
I would like to go kill some Sitka blacktail.

Awesome!! When I get back from being stationed in Japan a moose hunt is at the top of my list.

All over the place, I guess you could do it yourself on a drop hunt and maybe for $10K?

Fully guided , multi species, transportation costs, all expenses???- could eaisly get into the 30's

My taxidermist guides up there. When I picked up my goose a couple moths ago I asked him about the cost of a moose hunt. He said it was around 20K... a little too steep for me though.

Saw one in town today, first one I'd seen in Juneau for a while

Partner at work is in Tok right now and he's supposed to bring me some meat

Non residents aren't required to have a guide for moose.

From the few times I have been around moose it would seem like hunting cows in a pasture to me, but to each his own.

Congrats on the successful trip

I spent 3 yrs in Alaska and killing 2 moose isn't that hard (if you have the correct weapon). They are everywhere......literally.

Props tho

Yeah, most of my friends are doing the "road hunt" near Tok. With a little research, a non resident can hunt without terrible expense.
