Taking the smallest Chandler with me to scout Bayou Cocodrie for deer season opener in a few weekends.

Bringing the .17 just in case a hog charges

My couch

Went to Honey Island for my first hunt of the season. Not even 5 minutes after I got situated in the pop up blind, a damn cottonmouth slithered in underneath and damn near made me shite my pants. Didn’t realize I could still move so fast. Got a quick reminder of why I usually wait for cooler weather to hunt.

I wish I could sleep anywhere as soundly as my 10yo can in this 2 man ladder stand.

This. Finally heading back down south Friday. These types of pics have been a nightly occurrence pretty much around the ranch. Have a good feeling some hogs will be blasted this coming weekend.

Temperature dropped rapidly that last hour. Had a big young 6 get 30 yards from me but he never presented an ethical shot.

Enjoying some venison chili then calling it a day.

My work schedule and family obligations are about to be in full force.....so I need to squeeze in as many hunts this month as possible.

Grabbed the wall opposite side from where the snake slithered in from and flipped it over as fast as I could and ran away like a scared little girl. Calmed down and walked back to my gear slowly until I could see where the snake went. Then grabbed my shite and went home.

First time ever hunting out of a pop up blind and I just got it from Cabela’s last week. Think I’m just gonna return it and get a different one that has the zip in floor so nothing else can slither in on me again

Man screw that. Think if you hadn’t seen it come in and look down then boom, cotton mouth at your feet.

Sounds like you acted better than I would have.
