Coming out of the woods yesterday I came across a dog hunter turning his hounds loose at my uncles gate. He had a leash around his waist and across his chest. Overweight and bearded. Basically a portrait of a dog hunter. I know it had to have been a ghost because dog hunters dont turn hounds loose on OPP or property lines.

Edit: he told me he was deer hunting. When I asked if he had permission he said he was hog hunting because hogs some "black guys" (he didnt say black guys) turned loose were tearing up a cripples creep feeder. I'm still confused about the whole encounter.

Oh absolutely. I gave his plate number to my uncle.

I've posted about our frustration with them before. They run dogs straight through us just about every weekend.

Depending on timeframe, that was my uncles little prop plane. He crashed with my cousin in it with him. No injuries for either, but the plane was fricked.

In highschool, we were riding fourwheelers in the swamp on some Jesuit property and 5 miles from anything resembling habitable land, we found an abandoned old church. It still had the pews, alter, statues, etc. Gave me the fris' and seemed like a perfect start to a horror movie where a group of highschool kids start turning up missing . We never went back to it again.

Y'all remember the thread where the poster found a "temple" made out of big rocks in Red Dirt?

He either found it while playing around on Google Earth or he was a small plane pilot.

When I was a kid I was hunting along the bank of a river. It was late in the evening and starting to get dark. I decided to call it quits and began to head back to camp. While walking back I felt something drip on the back of my neck. When went to wipe it off, I realized it was blood. I looked up and there was a deer carcass drug up in the tree above me. Scared the living shite out of me.

Not the same then, this was in the late 90's/early 2000's. It might not have been in Thistlewaite, but it was in St Landry Parish. I imagine that was unsettling to walk up on!

Wasn't me but my mom told me a story about when she was a kid, she and my aunts and uncles we're playing somewhere in the woods and they came across a Budweiser 18 Wheeler trailer full of beer. They told my grandfather about it and he had them take all the beer and stocked up their closets lol. I'll have to ask her about that again for more details.

Before Lake Norman NC burst from 3000 to 50000 ppl, we rented the last house on the creek.

We had a rope swing over a pit and a dirt road that went two miles away fromoyr rental.

I was 7 so I did t know what a still was. Took my uncle to show him what it was.

A brand new still. Copper looked orange.

Now it’s a huge neighborhood on the lake. Million dollar homes.

Have definitely walked up on many of those out there.

I have also stumbled upon a hill with 3 burnt crosses in Kisatchie.

Back when I was kid I was exploring woods by cross lake. Came upon a pentagram with slain animals. They were all faced in the same direction and it was pairs of them. Do not remember exactly which animals but it was like 2 cats, 2 dogs,2 goats, 2 chickens. Never went back in those woods.

It's about 20 acres right on 61. Doesnt look like the deer are hanging there, just passing though. It isnt very thick other than some bamboo. I'll probably throw some corn out and maybe have an easy doe or two
