The problem is out of all of those, there's only one gold. Silver and bronze only matter when you're happy with mediocrity.
B) we missed out on a gold we usually don’t win in the W 100. Yes it was a bit of a wasted opportunity without the Jamaicans there but is what it is. Alfred is an animal.
C) No one really thought femke was going to run that 4 x 400 leg and even if we did there wasn’t much we could’ve done about it without sacrificing some individual events a bit.
D) we handled business in the shot. I honestly think if it wasn’t for the rain we may have swept.

No ones saying you can’t say that. What’s annoying is acting like she’s a disgrace to America and we’re falling into mediocrity as a country because of it. Especially by people that don’t know shite about what they’re talking about.

Exactly. We have 6 medals in T&F so far. No other country has more than 2. Spain has 2, both in speed walking. No other country has more than 1

The "medals" have distorted perception.
If you ain't 1st your last. Gold should be all that matters.
The total medal count should be way secondary.

I'm not miserable at all. I just refuse to accept consistently getting beat out. I haven't said anything personal against our athletes that are coming up short. But I'll shite all day on the system and attitudes that normalize settling for fricking third and being happy about it.

Not really, I'm glad we have more gold than anyone in T&F. That's great and how it should be.
Counting bronze medals when we have the largest team in the Olympics just shouldn't be what the US strives for.
