Three Most Prestigious Individual Gold Medals

I think Men’s 100 meter dash and the Women’s Gymnastics All-Around should be on there. Not sure about the next one. Men’s Decathlon?

I think a swimming event needs to be in there, and figure skating is the most watched winter event.
It’s not the biggest internationally, but I’ve never had more respect for athletes than watching the women collapse at the end of the cross country skiing and biathlon events.
They look like they’re pushing themselves near death - incredible.

If you're talking about what athletes would say, probably the 200m IM in swimming, Decathlon/Heptathlon in Track, and probably either the 100m dash or biathlon.
If you're talking about what the public views as most prestigious then it's the M/W 100m dash, M 4x100 swimming, and M/W figure skating. In sure other countries would probably give you different answers...Australia swimming, Norway skiing, etc.

I heard a commentator last summer say the 400m hurdles are the premier track event and I tend to agree.
For winter, Downill has to be in consideration.

I think it depends on the level of competition. Those 400m hurdle finals last year were amazing. The 400m was a premier event with Michael Johnson.
