Believe whatever you want, but me, I don't trust entities that put profit over any and all other concerns to tell me the truth if it may impact their profitability.

Corporations in this country have a pretty well defined track record of obfuscating in the name of greater profit. Public safety and health be damned.

...they apparently blended ideas from discussions on varrying well plug tactics and one delt with setting off charges at the wellhead to collapse it/shut it off. They (BP) are not going to this because of the possibilities of catastrophic circumstances.....exactly what they say has happened
