-The actual Horizon Oil Spill Incident
OR
-The media's Gloom and Doom coverage of the Oil Spill (The media jumping to conclusions on several crucial pieces of the incident)

Obama called, he has requested to change the subject.

I don't think as a whole the LA economy has been hurt real badly by the media being dumbasses. That seems to be a much bigger issue for Alabama and Florida.
The La economy is hurt worse by the spill itself and probably even more by the moratorium.

yeah, the oil in the water necessitating the closure of fishing waters has done the most economic damage prior to the retarded moratorium by the gubment.
Alabama and Florida definitely got hurt by the media, but I think the amount of oil that washed up on shore did a crapton on its own to repel vacationers (although if there were no media, no one would've known how much or how little oil was on the beaches)

Obama is going to inflict more harm than the spill imo.

I have a feeling that when it is all said and done the fisherman etc.. affected will actually come out ahead $$ wise bc it is becoming more and more likely that the spill will NOT cause any long term ecological damage and the BP $$ should be more than fair.

I have a feeling that you don't have a link to back up that feeling?? Who the frick knows?? Only time will tell. Scientists will study and the data will tell the tale over time.

Dude there is LOTS of early data stating that this spill will not have much of a long term ecological impacts.
