I know BP is taking a massive dump on the coastline of my state but i'm not supposed to be at all critical of them. But the only voices of reason are those who are agenda filled within the industry.
Perfectly acceptable to be critical of them. But do so for valid reasons that aren't obvious bull excrement. There's plenty of reasons, so why select unreasoned bs?

It doesn't help to solve anything to stir the pot with untrue made up stuff. In fact... it just obfuscates the true causes and solutions. At the end thats what we want to know.

My original thread was a lot of asking questions and not false accusations. I never claim to be too knowledgeable about capping off oil wells. Hell, BP hasn't convinced me they are too knowledgeable either. The oilmen apologist got defensive real early and shite got ugly.

I thought it was a fair question to ask if BP was the best possible company/entity to rely upon fixing this disaster. That doesn't mean they can't assist with tools or whatever else.

See that's the problem right there. You wouldn't know if they were doing a good job or not, because you don't have a frame of reference of what "good" is when it comes to subsea construction. Those of us that do... know the difficulty of what bp are trying to do, and how much equipment, personnel, and construction vessels bp are bringing to bear on this problem. It's likely the largest subsea construction operation ever conducted.

Then when those that come in and tell you how off-base you are; you start name calling them, like this...

If you don't appreciate that others know more than you, and don't agree with you loaded questions, then why ask the question in the first place?

Maybe you're coming off more douchy than you intend. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. But if you want to learn, the first step would be to start reading. Nearly every point you've brought up has been covered NUMEROUS times over the last few weeks.

There is a tremendous knowledge base here. But you won't get help in learning by asking loaded questions, arguing when you don't get the answer you want, pretending to know more than those with experience, and calling people names.

Those of us in the industry are tired of hearing ignorant people falsely maligning our coworkers. Us oilfield trash like to stick together.

Then maybe you oilmen apologists should stick to oil industry forums so you can be spared repetitiveness. I know how hard repetitiveness can be on you. I mean, they got birds dying and coastlines being destroyed but the poor oil guys have to keep explaining to us stoopid people why their frickups are okay.

Maybe you guys should be like doctors and call it a practice.

What calling someone a troll because they aren't fighting the same agenda as you?
