I guess it couldn't hurt. How many of these things are there because the GoM is a big place?

So 2000 gallons a minute, just under 3 million gallons a day. Seems like a lot but is probably only a drop in the bucket compared to the total volume of water affected. However, I still don't see any downside. May as well try it.

That is what I'm saying. I'm with Jindal on this one. This is a war, and we must use ever means necessary and every resource available. Everyone! This may only be xx gallons a minute, and the vacuums may only suck xx gallons a minute, the "cap" may only capture xx gallons a minute, but in my opinion....

EVER XX GALLON A MIN, is one less XX gallon a minute! XX + XX + XX + XX = equals a lot more than just X.

It doesn't work on weather oil with solids. That is what they are seeing at recovery centers. CINC's equipment will only work if you heat the oil and add chemicals to it to break the emulsion.

Trust me on this one....

Costner's a Oil Spill Carpetbagger on this one.

Yea, someone gets it! The sooner everyone looks at this as the second battle of New Orleans, the better. You can tell when the tide turns....people stopped talking about how much money they will each lose, and started talking about how long it will take, and whether their kids and grandkids will ever learn the same way of life. Now it's beyond money...and that's what war is really about.
