Why would they cancel the show? They are jets flying through the air. I'm sure they'll let people on the beach, just not next to the water.

Disaster.

We usually take our boat but I don't see that happening this year.

Instead of going swimming - you can have fun with your very own homemade core-sampler!! Just take an old post-hole digger to the beach, extract a column of sand and count all the oil layers that have washed in over time! Like the rings on a tree take you back to its first year above ground - You can count your way deeper until you reach sand that doesn't glow bright orange at night under UV light!

Do you people ever think of going anywhere besides the Redneck Riviera. It's a big country and world out there.

It made me wonder. why don't they dig a trench every day and let the oil fall in it at night. That seems like a logical intervention to me.

Also, they redneck with that rake and shovel looked like he was gaining on it to me. The people will be the ones that end up having to clean this up after the government steals all the fricking money given by BP.

It's the annual family vacation, been going for 25+ years. It has been booked since before this whole mess started. Changing plans for 20+ people a month before the trip isn't an easy thing to do.

6 months ago we didn't expect fricking oil to be on Pensacola Beach.
