I dialed in and said I was press. I believe it is public.
They asked my for my name, last then first. I told them I didn't have one. They hung up on me.

They chose to do it at this hour due to how bad the news is. This will be larger than Exxon Valdez within 7 days.
I have really noticed how little details we have gotten over the last several days. The silence has been deafening IMHO.

Press Conference over. The gist is that the spill is far larger than it was originally thought. BP stated that federal govt help would be needed as well as other oil companies. USCG stated that BP had the financial resources to supply more boom to help minimize the disaster. All in all it sounds like transocean/BP/USCG are not friends anymore. It also sounds like there is no hope of this being a minimal spill that can be cleaned up quickly. BP would not even calculate how many barrels they thought would spill before they could stop it. Furthermore, USCG & BP repeatedly stated that 5000 barrels a day is an estimate and it could be even larger.....just so we are clear I am speaking in barrels not gallons. The burn worked but at this point the few thousand gallons they can burn at a time is just not going to be effective. BP swore to keep trying and USCG said they would continue to monitor. The end.

BP was askied about the law suit by the families of the missing workers and the CEO of BP said that, "safety on the rig is Transoceans responsibility"
BP was asked why the BOP did work and he said "the BOP was for Transocean and so was the the rig"
This is not looking good for Transocean.
BP lawyers >>>>>>>>> Transocean lawyers

This is looking worse for BP. At least in the court of public opinion.

5000 bbl/day....changes everything

This is 5 times worse than they previously expected and I promise before it's all said and done it's going to be 10 times worse than they are saying it is now.
This is bad. Real bad!

i think this is might change a few opinions about drilling on the coast. all signs point to this thing being really bad. it was also said that the ROV's were pretty much worthless due to the lack of visibility in the water. the only option now is for manned sub's w/ robotic arms to physically cap the well. that or wait for the other rig to drill a relief well or retap the same hole. waiting on other rigs to come will be in terms of months to stop the bleeding

today I went to a website www.skytruth.org. They said that the slick was way to big to be 1000 bbl/day and calculated it at 5000...I thought they were liberal nut jobs....damn it.

The law states that BP is responsible for the clean up, but if they can prove it was Transoceans fault....TO is fricked

Hey Luke, this would be the wife. frick you dip shite. Per the press conference the leak is actually 5000 barrels a day instead of 1000. No worries thats just roughly 300,000 gallons a day. I am sure that everything will be fine. A spill that is 10 times the valdez spill surely wont affect Gulf Shores and hey thats not tar on your feet folks because Luke says all is fine. frick you yet again you ignorant piece of shite.
You sound like your typical, classy Alabama broad
Thanks for the pat on the back. It's what keeps me going.

I get that, but im saying the public for the most part has no idea who transocean is. They know BP though.
