Nice to know we have a judge that can keep the village idiot president in check (on this decision).

I'm sure Obama will have Rahm Emanuel and his other goons right on this immediately. They have got to start some character assassination damage-control on this judge right away.

Check out the list of Judges, HIGHLY Conservative and based in NOLA.

I'm getting the impression from this thread that having an oil job is a right. An oil job is no different from any other job. If you lose it, either sit on your arse or go get another job. Don't give me this shite about these oil jobs are crucial to Louisiana's economy. Tell that shite to Michigan when the auto industry left for Mexico.

Look, I have nothing against oil jobs or the oil industry, but I actually agree with the moratorium. The industry should be shut down until these companies come up with a viable response plan should it happen again. Some of you people are acting like these oil workers are entitled. Millions of people lost their jobs last years and a majority are still unemployed. I doubt if anyone shed a tear. Like I sad, thousands of high paying blue-collar jobs left Detroit and no one gave a shite.

the fed government didnt impose a 6 month ban on building cars b/c of a pile up on I-12. automakers for the most part screwed themselves over the past 10-15 years.

That's a great analogy.

Thank you for emphasizing my point. What's worse: an industry making shitty cars or an industry causing the worst environmental disaster in US history. The auto workers deserve their jobs more than the oil workers, IMHO.

Well without those oil wells no one can build cars cause there would not be anything to run them or keep them running!

let me add to this. these are a few components on a car that are made of oil:

1- steering wheel
2- tires
3- all hoses and belts
4- the paint
5- wiper blades
6- all plastic items
7- all wire coating

just a few.

If you knew anything about the unions and people who worked inthe auto industry, you'd take that back really quick. They don't know what work is.

These oil workers WANT to work. And what they do powers our country. Guess you liked $4 gas
