The amount boomers and others will stick their head in the sand for the warp speed demise of the American dream is frightening

Are those actual cities though or are they just 100 suburbs of expensiveVille that were already sitting at 900k in 2020?

Either way, you're right that prices have undeniably gone up. I think we're paying the price for all those years of 3.5% interest rates under Obummer

Forget the "starter home" debate BS.

Fact is housing is at pricing compared to income at double or triple what they were historically. Houston suburbs for instance. This isnt sustainable long term. My house simply isnt worth what the estimate is right now. You have to have buyers.

1 city in Minnesota, that's a load of crap. It has to be one exclusive, small, Twin Cities suburb. That's not where you buy starter homes.

Probably some exclusive burb on Lake Minnetonka.

Palo Alto, CA is another prominent example of a highly restrictive zoning landscape, with 80% to 90% of its total residential land zoned exclusively for single-family homes. According to data compiled in the City of Palo Alto Housing Element, while single-family zones consume about 19% of the city's total total land area, dedicated multi-family residential zoning accounts for less than 3% of total land

Generally speaking I am opposed to government restrictions, but this kind of sounds like a good thing to me

I would much prefer to live in a community with mostly single family homes, rather than apartment complexes.

I spent the weekend in San Luis Obispo County. I walked by one bedroom one bathroom shaved that were over a $1M. SLO is worth the visit for you California haters. It is still mostly white and there are few black people there.
