the NHC has been saying it’s gonna be a hurricane in the next 6 hrs for 2 days now. Yet it’s still a TS.

That definitely supports the blow up of convection right before sunset.

Did it moved west more now? Did it get stronger?

NHC actually is saying pressure rose to 990mb. I don’t know if that’s from recon or what.

You won't be saying that tomorrow. Those 2 model runs are scary because it can happen looking at how it's organizing now.

I could have sworn I just heard TWC say it was a CAT 1.....but
I just glanced over at the TV and it still shows a TS....I'm trying to do 350 things at once and maybe I misheard what they said...sorry for the misunderstanding

Dunno either man. It's organizing but it might have gotten weaker earlier and the recon shows 990. IDK but it'll take it.

That's reasonable. Im heading out like 11:30 in the morning. Weather should be fine early. Just more concerned some folks aren't ready for the higher end potential.

Hopefully it'll work out to be nothing more than a decent TS for us.

I’m seeing the heaviest winds in Madisonville starting at 4, whereas earlier today it was at 6. Did it speed up, or because of the slightly westward shift?

You’re good no worries.

The 990mb finding on the 7pm advisory is weird.

No one knows if there’s recon in the storm or not. It’d make the hurricane models wrong pretty much cuz they initialize correctly

It really seems like everyone is just kinda not focused on this at all. Maybe I’m just reading into stuff too much. Maybe the airframes and crews are exhausted from this year. I don’t see anyone in SELA all that worried.
