Agreed. The boyfriend needs to be in jail. He has significant prior arrests, and he sounds like a criminal that justified a criminal act with a good cause here
The girl, on the other hand, shouldn't be convicted of anything. She was a victim, in substantial fear of her life, and sounds like she was only accessory to the murder anyway. The justice system had let her torturer walk away free. This man had controlled her and raped her mercilessly almost her entire life, then gets let off easy, and threatens to kill her repeatedly? She honestly believed he would kill her, IMO. That legitimate fear for her life, combined with the previous acts committed against her, and she should be innocent of the murder
