While I agree that youth sports have become somewhat absurd, kids have been calling other kids name since the beginning of kids. And the "gun was pulled" part is bullshite. If in fact a gun was pulled at a youth soccer event, you should be able to find supporting evidence. But you won't because it didn't happen. Happy Sunday Karen.

Those were great times! Mainly because every idiot don’t have a video production unit in their hand. You could act like an arse and get away with it. It would be forgotten in a few days. Not now.
Grew up in Slidell playing soccer. 1983 we beat Willowdale (now Lafreniere) to win state. Game was in Slidell and after the trophy ceremony, our parents let us have a little champagne. We tried to take a victory lap and some of us were a little tipsy. The Willowdale parents reported our parents for letting us drink the champagne. Nothing came of it though. Side losers.

I saw an all-out brawl at a girls’ State Cup prelim game in Mandeville years ago. Parents and players were fighting each other.
