What exactly could he as the president do to China specifically besides push for more economic sanctions or start a war? I'm not sure what the former accomplishes in terms of changing the fact that they are an autocratic authoritarian government who will always heavily edit what they release to the world in terms of information. Also, completely cuting off any trade at all with China and its 1.4 billion people isn't exactly a strong or smart long term plan. Starting a war or taking some military action of some kind is a horrendous idea for more reasons that I can even articulate.
I think we could make some fundamental changes to our country to combat potential future outbreaks of viruses that come from abroad. What do you think we could or should do with China?

Jan. 11–17: Important prescheduled CCP meeting held in Wuhan. During that time, the Wuhan Health Commission insists there are no new cases.
Jan. 14: WHO announces Chinese authorities have seen "no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel coronavirus."
