this was my first parents drop us off date. Not sure my first date in a car.
I was thinking my first date when I could drive. I think my first drop off date was to see Arachnophobia at Broadmoor theater

We saw Jerky Boys the Movie (my pick) and then took her to the girls house I actually liked to make her jealous. Unsurprisingly missed on both of them. Yeah, I was a smooth operator.
Although I did learn a valuable lesson: prank calls don't translate well to feature-length movies.

We went to the movie "Tommy" by The Who, then to Ground Patti for burgers. Dated for a while then went our separate ways.
Many years down the road, we met again and I married her. Been 22 years now.

Bonanza in Houma, spring of 89, hamburger steak and French fries. Bonanza had a salad bar and ice cream machine, which was unheard of at the time. We ordered our food and I went straight to the ice cream machine for a bowl of ice cream, even found some Cool Whip on the salad bar, jackpot. Girlfriend starts giving me chit about eating desert before the meal, I was like no adult here to tell me I can’t, I’m eating it, joke was on me, Dumbarse 14 year old me should have known they didn’t put cool whip on the salad bar, it was sour cream for the potatoes.

First real date. I was 18, she was 24. Went to Chuy’s. Not much to tell.
My oldest daughters first date with her (now) husband:
He took her to the movies. When she opened the car door, a giant roach flew into her hair and she started freaking out. Chivalrous man reaches across the car and grabs it and rips it out of her hair along with a handful of glued-in extensions.

Went to New Orleans with friends, her friend knew my friend and we met all met at my apartment —- we did not know each other prior.
In terms of actual dating, I’ll have to ask her. I remember going to Cipprinani’s (sp?) as this was her favorite place several times, so I am inclined to think this is certainly a possibility. She also used to come by the daiquiri shop I worked at and hung out.
I married a great woman. I haven’t always been the best at making things great for her.
Good times. All good memories.

Double date at 16. We went to the movies, then to get a coke afterwards.
My parents were sitting outside with neighbors when I was picked up and were still sitting there socializing when I was dropped off
Needless to say, there was no goodnight kiss, which was a shame, because my date was super cute

1982, went to see E.T. went with her older brother who was my good friend and classmate. I DON'T remember him having a date, or not. Just turned 16, did the ol' yawn and stretch, no chance for any kind of action, and I was glad of it, I was nervous enough.

Burger King. She had about a 40 foot long Cadillac with a large back seat and offered to drive, so I went with it. After BK, she ran over a dog and dragged it about a block and then had a total meltdown. Never made it to her back seat.
