I read every sentence (in my head) on the first page while doing this.

Another annoying thing is the use of the word “like” repeatedly.

Ha! Just looked up "vocal fry", and it's what I suspected. SUPER annoying affectation.

What is vocal fry???

It is a raspy breathless growling method of speech. Sort of like they are recovering from their being very drunk or using drugs and struggling to even answer.

It’s called “up talking”. Every sentence sounds like they’re asking a question. It’s really stupid sounding.

Gen Z does this too. I've had to interrupt more than a few presentations to tell them to knock it off. There's absolutely nothing worse.

I first heard that from some of the people on ESPN when saying Payton Manning's name. I thought it was just Black people at first, but it was more just the younger people on ESPN. This was while he was still playing. Molly Qerim talked that way when she first started working for ESPN.

ETA: When Peyton did the insurance commercial where he says I'm not just Peyton Manning, I'm Painting Manning too. I want him to say, "But I'm not Payun Manning!"
