Young Pioneer Tours is an adventure travel company formed in 2008 and based in mainland China. Specialising in North Korea tours, we provide “budget travel to destinations your mother would rather you stayed away from”.

As well as seeing the must see sights in Pyongyang and visiting the DMZ, we provide tours to various locations within North Korea. So whether you’re looking to compete in the Pyongyang Marathon, experience the spectacular sights of Mt Paektu, ski at the world class Masikryong Ski resort, explore the extreme North East of the country, or visit Rason city – North Korea’s Special Economic Zone, we have itineraries to suit all travellers.

At only 895 Euros, can you afford not to go?

And if North Korea isn't you thing:

Aside from the DPRK, we travel to a number of other destinations such as Afghanistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Chernobyl, Cuba, Antarctica, Eritrea and more!

They have 5 out of 5 stars on TripAdvisor, so you know its safe

Was really close to going on one of their DPRK trips when I was living in China. Met some of the tour guides while backpacking through Yangshuo and they seemed on the level, but something told me not to go and I moved on.

Not too long after, Warmbier was detained while with them in the DPRK and I've listened to that little voice in my head ever since.

It would be fricking awesome to hunt radioactive wolves in Chernobyl, you have to admit.

Soon, they'll add New Orleans to their list.

Cuba isn't that bad of a place to visit from what I've been told. Def doesn't seem very dangerous.

Visiting North Korea doesn't seem all that great, but visiting Chernobyl would be a really cool experience.
