Some weird fricks out there
quote:

The tattoos that covered nearly all of a Saskatoon man’s body are being preserved and framed by a U.S. company.
quote:

“He used to always say, you know, tattoo ‘til death,” Chris Wenzel’s widow, Cheryl Wenzel, told CTV Saskatoon. “And I think he really took it to a different context!”
quote:

the artist discovered Save My Ink Forever: an American company that preserves and frames the tattoos of the deceased. In a process that takes about three months, one’s skin is surgically excised before a special formula is used to conserve it.
quote:

“Tattoos, you know, tell a story about a person,” Sherwood told CTV Saskatoon. “And for someone to get something tattooed on them that they’re displaying for life, you know, means something to them… You wouldn’t burn or bury a Picasso and that’s what some of these pieces are.”
quote:

Wenzel’s preserved tattoos will be unveiled at an expo this spring. It remains to be seen where his inked skin will hang after then.

Yep, comparing tattoos to a Picasso is ridiculous.

Yeah, it means they display them "for life" not after they are dead.

Yeah a good tattoo is way better and harder than the retard shite Picasso painted.

Is this a portrait of some inbred in Alabama?

Hopefully this is on the preservation list.

While I understand what you are saying and there are some well designed tattoos out there, keeping the skin is a tad bit weird. Also, I have never seen a tattoo pull in what a Picasso has pulled in.

Artists and people who buy art for stupid prices are all self absorbed weirdos so it’s only a matter of time.

Can't disagree with that either. The painter is usually long dead before the paintings make any money. I would like to find a few and sell them though.

I’ve seen preserved tattooed skin from the early 1900’s so you must be old as frick.

Yeah, and I’ve seen lamp shades the Nazis made of Jewish people. Still crazy as frick, still sick in the head, and still not going to call it art.
