You know you're about to die, but which way would you rather?

I feel like you'd die quicker with the shark since you'd likely drown fairly quickly if you didn't die from your injuries. So I pick that one.

Sharks don’t/rarely actually eat people. They just take chunks out of them.

Bears violently bludgeon and claw their prey but don’t always kill it before they start eating.

I’d probably choose the shark and just bleed out. This is assuming you’re in somewhat cold water which would lessen the amount of pain you feel as you bleed to death. But it would be terrifying floating there wondering what could be lurking underneath you, like more sharks.

The choice you're presenting is between being in the water or on dry land.

In both cases, mutilation and dismemberment.

This ws my thought as well.....a bear will gnaw on you for a while, rip your face off, shite down you neck, throw you around, sit on you...it may take a while before you die

A great white shark will grab you and pull you under and drown you immediately.

I was watching a video the other day about a guy being mauled by a grizzly. He described each bite as feeling like a sledgehammer blow. I'd imagine that would be more painful than a great white taking your arm off and quickly bleeding to death.

If I’m getting the option on how I get to go, I choose this...

I think you’re more likely to die from bleeding to death from massive injuries than drowning instantly. You’ll flail around for awhile while bleeding out.
