Cottonmouths are aggressive little shits. Kill them on sight. They are not of the "more afraid of you than you are of them" variety

sensitive bitch alert. A snake is not an animal as far as I'm concerned. All of them mother frickers die. No if's and's or but's about it.

As long as it isn't poisonous I won't kill it. Yard work, I'd probably kill a poisonous snake because I let my dog run around at my parents house (I live in an apartment, no yard). Out hiking? I just give them a wide berth, the idea that snakes are going to chase you if you don't piss them off is asinine.

and that's not a particularly big Indigo. Kids from aTm caught one on our place that was over 10ft.

Those will be left alone.

A Moccasin, Copperhead, etc... I'm killing it. I do not want a snake to bite my dog, or it ending up biting someone (I have nearly stepped on one before, so it is possible)

Came across one on Saturday. Sprayed it with a hose until it went into the neighbors yard.

Obviously non-venomous, alive. These guys are okay in my book.

Obviously venomous, dead. Don't care, have small children running around, not taking any chances.

Not sure if venomous, dead. Again, not taking any chances.

Do a quick Google search see what poisonous snakes are in your area. There are really only four in SE Louisiana. If it's not one of those leave it alone.
