This is the only crime list I've ever seen that made Memphis look relatively safe

Yeah the early to mid 90's was some bad shite. I live around Baron Rouge at the time and they were fcking some people up back in those days. I think even a place like the city of Plaquemine was having major problems.

It's by county, so the relative absence of homicide by firearm in, say, Germantown, helps Memphis stats. It means that at least parts of Shelby County are pretty safe.
