Yesterday's eclipse got me thinking

As we watch Earth's shadow transit the moon, that shadow is obviously curved. If the Earth isn't a Sphere then how would that be possible?Only a sphere would always casts a circular shadow; a flat disk does so only when facing the light directly. Would our flat earth friends care to explain that?

You've got it all wrong bro. The moon and the sun are just projections on the firmament. There's no shadow to be cast by earth. Plus, while the earth is flat the turtle that it is riding on is not.

It's interesting how far back this legend goes. Both Asian and North Americans had this belief, which means Native Americans brought it over with them in the ice age when they crossed the Bering Strait.
