So now Park rangers will have to put themselves at risk fishing this idiot out of boiling water.

Yellowstone) - A person is believed to be dead after a witness saw him fall into a hot springs in Yellowstone National Park.
According to a Yellowstone National Parks Service news release sent out at 6:30 p.m. this evening, here is what we know at this time:
A witness reported that a man in his early 20's walked off the boardwalk and fell into a hot spring.
At this time, rangers are treating this incident as a probable fatality because the victim has not been located.
Rangers are using extreme caution as they respond given the hazards of the thermal area.
The location of the incident is approximately 225 yards off the boardwalk.
The Norris Geyser Basin is currently closed.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be available this evening.
Yellowstone National Park will provide information as it is available tomorrow. For more information on safety around thermal features, refer to go.nps.gov/yellsafety.

At least they can't kill a hot spring.

When I went to Yellowstone there was a display in the visitor center about how people had permanently stopped up a hot spring by throwing shite in it. The meteor can't come soon enough IYAM.

This has to be a record year of stupid since the bear-feeding days at Yellowstone, and it isn't even mid-June. We are driving right by there on our annual summer trek to Missoula and will not be stopping. Sad.

Isn't Yellowstone sitting on some massive underground volcano set to blow up and cause mass extinction events any day now.

I think that since it is "yellow"stone, it was just reacting to the racist micro-aggression by a tourist exercising human privelege, so it swallowed up the said tourist into its "safe space." The hot spring's soul is confused, however, as it does not know for sure that even though it swallowed up a biological male of the aforementioned priveleged human species, which gender does the human identify with(?), so the hot spring is hiding it until a determination can be made by the Federal Government.

Probably not much left to fish out. That guy is probably like the chicken I grilled last night. It just slips right off the bone.

Some people in Suburbia do not realize what's been going on for billions of years-

Awesome.
To the downvoters on my Yellowstone remark, it is an incredible place of course. We are just skipping it this year to focus on a wilderness hot springs tour (CO and ID), backcountry backpacking closer to Missoula (Rattlesnake, Lolo) + Glacier, Pioneers, and the Bob.
I wouldn't let stupid and ill-fated tourists get in the way of Yellowstone. But they certainly don't make me want to go there over the aforementioned places this year. Even though we'd stick to back country and avoid most of the tomfoolery.
The place just seems snakebit this year!
