IIRC, they are under a class-action by their franchisees for those remodels. They were promised an uptick in sales, especially breakfast, that haven't come to pass.

Because Wendy's gargles balls now.

Pretzel bacon cheeseburger the #1 for me

Also that interior carpet was tight. You don't see carpet like that in restaurants anymore

When I was a kid they had "frosty cards" and kids would get a free mini frosty with an order. Was amazing.

I remember this! Damn, good times.

I haven't eaten a burger from fast food joints since I tried the Double Double at In & Out. Their fries are the best for fast food.

Best thing Wendy's could do is close more of their stores and cut ties with some of their franchisees. I think all you need to get a job there is to have a heartbeat (which would gradually deteriorate due to all the Wendy's).

KFC was considered a rare treat and it was actually good tasting, crispy chicken.

I’ve never known KFC to make anything
Close to crispy chicken. Ever.

Everything went to shite after Dave died on us.

Dave was known to go around under cover to locations across the country and eat at his restaurants and if it wasn’t up to par then it would be by the time he left.

Colonel Sanders did the same thing.

That’s the difference between the original owner who had pride and cared about his product compared to corporate lackeys looking to cut corners to increase profits for investors.

Chicken sandwich and a cup of chili is my go-to if don't feel well.

Funny you say this. I RARELY crave non-Whataburger fast food but over the years whenever im recovering from flu or a bad cold I almost exclusively crave a dave’s double combo with a large coke
