quote:Im picturing 2 guys trying to pick up a 1.5 ton tree stump to put in the back of a garbage truck.
My neighbor cut up a 30" diameter tree and put it at the road thinking someone would put it up.

Does anyone know why the city no longer picks up limbs from the curb on trash day? What are you supposed to with them?
Cut them up into pieces small enough to fit in your garbage can then put your garbage on top of them?

My bill has nearly doubled. They've fricked up my pick up days, and apparently don't pick up half the shite they used to.
Gotta love it.

Seriously considering a burn pile. I know there is an ordinance against this activity but I believe I can get away with it if I start burning like at 3 AM when no one is usually outside.
If some one complains I will say the children were roasting marshmallows.
What can go wrong ?

The easiest way now is to rent one of those machines that chops them up into sawdust. Then cut holes in your pockets and every time you leave the house fill up your pockets and sprinkle it out while you walk, Great Escape style.

Just did this
Call 311
They will send someone to inspect your pile. I was shocked it was next day. I think the rule is no more than 6 ft long and no bigger than 6” diameter. I failed inspection at first (didn’t know rules) and removed the “logs”.
Inspector return and said good to go
Started process on Monday and everything gone on wed. I was impressed.
Still got some big logs left, but hey firewood
