So you admit you only care about yourself, not how it affects your fellow citizens?

I don't mind paying taxes if they are used appropriately. However I don't trust Louisiana to do a freaking thing right in that area.

And only a fraction if this money will actually be put towards roads by 2020. They'll find a way to dip into the fund to pay for some other bullshite.

So you don't care about the added expense to your company and how that added expense is spent or wasted?
Or you do somehow and you are here just bragging about the benefits of your job

It won't be spent on that, but someone will get a raise

, as if the only way you're harmed is at the pump.

The cost of most goods will go up with the increased gas tax.

If the price of gas or gas tax goes up it's like I'm getting a raise. maybe you should try to negotiate a gas card with your next job if it bothers you

Like the cost of most goods decreased when the price of gas was cut in half?

I don't work for the state

Right because holding gov't responsible and being concerned about the waste and fraud within it falls into the same category as an employment pay package agreement

Rise in gas prices justified raises cost of all goods.

Of course, they will never go down no matter what a gallon costs. Econ 1001

A 23 cent hike in the state gas tax would make LA #3 in terms of most expensive state gas taxes behind only PA and WA.

If they want to raise taxes they should first show what the 20.01 cents per gallon has been used for over the past few years. (I bet you it ain't all going to roads.)

Grew up in Louisiana but that state is one of the worst run states in the union. good luck boys i'm sure all that will go to bridges and roads . They wonder why all the college grads leave the state.
