But, the Poli Board told me it was going to be a huge success because Vince McMahon is a friend of Emperor Trump, and he was going to make sure all those uppity blacks stand for the National Anthem, and the NFL was going to be ruined.
What gives?

What you talkin' about Willis? Mark "Dirty" Sanchez GOAT.
Ha. Nice call. But I did say "not many other than kickers," so a few in there. Ha. Mark Sanchez is the perfect example of the type of "white hispanic" type. Not saying skin tone in his case, but just how the "european" behavior comes out in similar ways.
--to the op--
OKC, if they put a bid in, is starting to sound good in the first major "batch". Would be a good "rival" for STL. That would be another key piece to success. Rivalries, and easy fan travel. What hurts boise perhaps unless they are easy to travel to, but things like this can get a city/state to start upping their travel infrastructure.
I'd like to see the xfl succeed as i'm geting bored by the nfl. Plenty of talented players out there to get to play for 100-500k max a year. XFL needs to remember they cant go bankrupt with salaries, but make sure they keep the eye on the ball long term...
- choose team ownership properly to avoid those that will be selfish.
- remember that the nfl, and other leagues, didnt get where they are today by being stupid with money. Players that built the league slowly, werent making millions, nor were they babied as much as today as a whole
- owners need not be in to much of a hurry to make money, but just dont loss it
- make rules that fit between college/nfl to not make it a clown show, and make true football fans blow it off as a gimmick. Also we dont want to remember another set of rules for simple plays
- be about the fans not the players. At the end of the day we want to see good tough football, so dont fall on the sword of some prima donna that will not be around long term enough
- let coaches be in charge of player picks not the GMs office. Ie the cowgirls and jerry jones.
- Perhaps have standard contracts that arent allowed to be changed. Similar to how the ncaa has set rules/agreements, so schools dont have to get involved with it.
- obviously try to stay away from unions if possible, which is tough. Perhaps make it apart of the contract if can be done or at least make it tougher to pop up. Remember lots of talented cfb players out there that would love to keep playing, and making low 6 figures. Walk away from the ones that will cause problems.
- Create a somewhat independent "HR" group under the home office who are there for the players needs, and build that trust to answer questions. Also recommend new player rules if they start to see/hear the same thing from many players. Seeing changes yearly would be better than waiting for new negotiations. They can also focus on helping these players with "life training" so they dont go bankrupt quick. Make the XFL more like a regular fans job, so they can appreciate it more. Realize it can end quick, so dont go crazy out of the gate. Or let the leeches f you over. Help with finishing college if they didnt finish. Be a more of a "after you are done" league, and former players will be more advocates for the league down the road.
- XFL head office needs to be stricter/have more power than the NFLs, but not as much as the ncaa. Cant let owners get in their own individual "big egos" when it isnt in the best interest of the whole league
- time of year perhaps helps, if not announced, I wonder what they are planning. Dont compete to much with the other leagues.
- make it a bit easier to pick up players that may get cut by an nfl team later
- dont be the league for college players to drop out for or HS players. That'll piss off the CFB fan base b/c now we have to compete for recruits. Im all about "open market" but dont piss off the market you are trying to appeal too out of the gate. Again dont compete, and be happy with "scramps" that are still very talented.
- focus on insurance for players out of the gate over salaries
- make the season worthwhile. Nfl season has started to get bland. CFB is messing with it, but, as long as, they dont add more playoff games CFB will start to settle just right.
Essentially, dont compete or try to beat the "big boys". Just slowly build up, and focus on the product on the field bringing in the die hards who can handle another good league to enjoy. Not the "marketing gimmicks". Get the die hard fundamently fans on board, and they'll convince the rest it's worth it. Dont try to appeal to women as they will follow their die hard husbands/fathers/brothers.
Focus on the true fans of the game, males, no matter their race, and the league will have a chance.

Appeal to Hispanics which I don’t think the NFL does a good job of.

Really? Because St. Louis was fully capable and willing to support an NFL product, and fought til the end to keep the Rams. Moving to Los Angeles simply tripled the franchise value though. St. Louis football fans were pissed, the city was pissed. This is a direct move in response to all of that.
I get all that. Just meant not really an "exciting" national announcement kind of thing. Could be a good thing that they are focusing on good decisions and not "marketing" hits.

This just means that any player they develope that’s worth a shite will jump to the NFL as soon as they can, and it will be nothing more than minor league.

May I be the first to suggest Jackson Mississippi. They can use Memorial Stadium as their home field and it will be a great opportunity for the local hood rats to exercise their culture on game days by breaking into fans cars and stealing their radios and other personal property while they are in the stadium watching the game.

I get that, but they are stuck in that minor league area automatically. Why pay them more to be developed, and still leave to the "league"? NFL has that draw no matter how much the XFL pays, so why go bankrupt out of the gate. Just know it's possible, and have things in place to handle accordingly. Hold them to their contract length, instead of the minor league way of "being called up" etc.
Having an xfl player doing well in the NFL isnt the worse thing either.
XFL needs to have a long term plan, and not a short term one. Why I said they shouldnt be looking to straight up compete with the other 2 major leagues, NFL and CFB. Find a way to fit in. I put that range in there as it also covers the low range of nfl players. Some may want to actually play, so they can make the same but play. NFL will feel that pinch a bit.

Sounds like a reason to have a team play in the Cotton Bowl. I see a rivalry here if done. Ha.

San Antonio already has an AAF team.
XFL would be stupid as frick to try and go into cities the AAF will already be established in.

If the XFL champ and AAF champ play for a title, it would be the tits.

They won't though. Vince has got to be pissed as hell Charlie Ebersol and Bill Polian pulled an endaround on him getting their league started up first. shite, does Vince even have a TV deal yet?
