Whitewalls, nice old school touch
I miss the station wagon. We had 2 on the farm and with those old V-8's they were better than modern trucks and SUV's

We had the Mercury version in white, with the 429. That big heavy SOB could move. In a straight line.

Do they have the rear facing back seat in that one?
I think the Ford's had the rear (like my mom called them, the way back) seats facing each other. It could be a 10 passenger set up. 3 + 3 + (2+2).
We had a Dodge that was only 8 passenger. Bucket seats up front. 2nd row bench. 3rd row definitely was rear facing.

My dad would go 110 in that thing with 3 kids in the back and not seat belt on anywhere. Crazy to think about now

we also had the '66 version of that, the rear seating was two seats facing each other parallel to the side, first year of the "triple option" door

I dated a young lady whose mom had an Olds Vista Cruiser 455(?) You could watch the gas gauge move at part throttle.

between 4000-5000 iirc, I believe they were on the half ton pick up chassis

I used to commander those back seats and stretch across both of them. It was almost comfortable.

My 72 LTD weighed 5,500 pounds. I figured these would be heavier

damn! I didn't realize they were that heavy, I had a '71 and a '72(both hand me downs) needed both of them to keep one running
the wagon had to have weighed more
