No shite, you have to get an old bronco or something to not have I dependent front suspension. Not sure if they make any vehicles anymore that don't have independent front suspension
I believe the last vehicle that was offered for sale in the US market (other than heavy duty pickup trucks and the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon) that had a solid front axle was the 2004 Land Rover Discovery.
I bought one.

They weren’t very much more than that brand new. Get a legit FJ40 or a 4Runner.

I have one, it's nice. Mileage isn't terrible, but definitely not commuter car.
Mine is a 2008, no issues to date.
Visibilty isn't great if you turn your head, but if you know how to use and setup your mirrors it's not bad.

The prices seem high. My brother just bought a 2017 4Runner Limited with less than 10k miles for $36k. I would've thought the FJ would be under 20k now.

Had one for 8 months and sold it to get a Tundra. I liked the FJ, but I don’t feel it’s very comfortable if you do a lot of driving. The good news is they really hold their value. I traded it in for 200 less than I paid for it.

The problem I have with the FJ is that for the money I’d much rather have a Land Cruiser

I used to poke fun at them, until I bought an 07. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. They are great, should have bought one years ago.

a land cruiser costs way more than an FJ. unless you mean an antique LC

LINK Here’s a 2011 with Lexus badges that has fewer than 50,000 miles for 24k
