F355 is a classic. Silver on a Ferrari doesn't look right though. Should be in red or yellow like the one in 'The Rock' starring Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage.

Silver looks good on the cars from the 60s and 70s. I really like the 308 GTS too, but don't think it'd be the first one is buy.

360 Modena is like the Porsche 996. 360 gets bad rep don't get much respect among car guys.
993 is the real 911 and insane used prices reflect that. whereas 996 is red-headed step child of the 911 family and gets as much respect as Boxster.

In November 2009, Ferrari recalled about 2,400 1995–99 355s and 355F1s in the United States because of improperly placed screw clamps that could damage the fuel-supply pipes and allow fuel to leak into the engine compartment. Ferrari learned of the problem when it was sued over a fire involving an injury to a driver

A supercar would be last on the list of cars to buy for me. I am 6'4 and not interested in a superfast car with a shitty ride.
i would much rather take 70k and buy a nice Defender that loses no value and is pretty amazing off road fun.

Just wanted to drop in and say you fricking suck. All the shite you talk trying to act like a baller, and you make a thread about a 15 year old Ferrari?

For instance, is there even a place anywhere in your zip code that will work on it? Just scheduled maintenance is gonna be a problem.
I want to say on some of these, you have to loosen the engine mounts and lift the engines a few inches just to change the oil.

Pretty wild from the F-Chat forum:
quote:
The 95 I got this summer had 45K in repairs in the last 6 years. That is everything that had to be done valve guides, manifolds, headers, sticky, etc, etc. , I am hoping that my bills will be much less.
Once the major stuff is fixed - budget minor stuff every year then a major every 5 years.
quote:
I fully agree with this estimate after owning my car for 11 years and putting 42,000+ miles on it in that time frame. However, if there is a good year that you do not spend this much, put that money in the bank, because the cost of the following year's repairs will make up for it.
My total tally is $65,000+ that includes all maintenance, oil, tires, etc. but does not include any paintwork or rim repairs (that are inevitable if you actually drive your car).
quote:
Whatever the average, the standard deviation is probably about $10k. Some cars never break, some eat money for all three meals, some just snack once in a while. Some will purr for years and then need a complete engine rebuild, supposedly out of the blue.
quote:
Confirms my theory. 10K per year repairs, for a car that is actually driven. Prob can bring down 2-3K if you are good with a wrench.

You can buy a new v8 Audi 2 door model. Hell you can get a new Masaratti v8 granturismo (which has a Ferrari engine) and both are going to have a warranty.

I don't think you can tag anything from 1999 as "classic" and/or "vintage".

Still looks sweet. If i had 70K to throw away, I would. Then again if i have 70K to throw away, I'd probably be rich enough to just buy a newer one.
Pretty much this

Neither are classics

True but they're new with newer technology and probably a helluva lot cheaper in the long run.
