Anyone ever train a wild bird?

Any suggestions on the name?

I suggested Trillhawk. He will take what he wants.

I would call him jail bait because that's exactly what that is.

Teague on the Outdoor Board trains hawks, but I think he's in Alabama.

Doesn't the LSU Vet school have a raptor rehabilitation program?

A poster by the name of Teugue trains hawks to hunt. Although I'm sure he would tell your friend to release the hawk since your friend likely has no earthly idea what he is doing.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal.

Bring it to LSU vet school.

They have a raptor unit. Well equipped to deal with raising them.

I do know a guy that will take him off ya hands for tree fiddy though.

My brother is a falconer. You can't just keep it and train it to hunt. You yourself have to be trained and licensed. If your buddy wants what is best for the bird I suggest he contact a local falconer who can help out with the bird.

None of that sounds hard. I'm sure the guy could do it.

Hell, he's already got the hawk. That seems like the hardest part.

Let it loose. He has no business trapping a hawk.

Other than the fact that it's illegal and he doesn't know what he's doing you are 100% correct.

You might have missed this part.
