WWII Airpower Expo

Aviation celebration
The expo is foremost a celebration of the 1940s warplanes, their American aviators and the role they played in winning the war.

Along with “Fifi,” one of only two remaining flying B-29s, more than 20 other vintage bombers and fighters not only will be available for tours but will also put on flight demonstrations in a “Warbirds in Review” parade that includes B-17 Flying Fortresses, a B-25 bomber, a P-51 Mustang and a group of P-40 Warhawks featuring the shark-mouth motif used by the Flying Tigers commanded by Louisiana native Claire Chennault.

Have a friend flying in from Mississippi in some WWII era Chinese fighter or something. Looks awesome, if I wasn't going to BR for the game, I'd definitely hit this up

They have an air parade scheduled at 10am on Sunday.

Watch the game, wake up and head to NOLA. That's probably what I'll be doing

I had a crew working in NOLA last year on a Saturday when I saw a B-17 flying.

I made the crew stop and watch it.

They weren't as impressed as I was.

I didn't know this Expo existed at the time so I was pretty stunned to see a B-17 flying above NOLA.

Pretty damn cool.

Chinese didn't make their own fighters in WWII

Yeah, It's love to see these warbirds mixed with fighters/bombers from other eras as well.

That's probably it. I really have no idea. My friend is flying with the pilot so I can't say for sure what kind of plane it is and I have very little knowledge of anything Chinese related
