Well baws AEW is on TNT and they are bringing back kayfabe.....they are going to tell us to care about wins, loses, and statistics for fake fights with predetermined outcomes....it even read like they would take focus away from the storylines....is anyone excited now for a fake MMA show? The storylines are what keep me going back to WWE (yea I know they suck now).....it's also why I don't watch MMA as much even though it is real unless there is a compelling story like with most of McGregor's fights.

I wonder if this is why WWE isnt concerned.....with this approach AEW will be right behind ROH and MLW in high school gymnasiums and barns if they ever even start touring.

This is why I won't watch. If WWE was run this way, Lesnar and Rousey would still because champs and they'd never have a credible threat. They want to run AEW as more of legitimate sport.

They literally just did this for the past year and their ratings are at record lows.

Lesnar, somewhat. In a real fight, Balor isn't lasting as long as he did.

Ronda, no. No women on the WWE roster could legitimately last 30 seconds in a fight with her.

I get that. You're saying IF WWE did this they'd have Lesnar and Ronda squash everyone, which is pretty much what they did for the last year by having Lesnar and Ronda beat everyone. It's the reason they're in the state they're in - neither one of those two were meant to put others over. Lesnar showed up 20% of the time and they kept the strap on him to make it seem "tough" and "legit."

I have a feeling Cody, the Bucks and everyone else involved won't make this same mistake and will do a much better job of putting others over and creating stars instead of using stars to reinforce that Lesnar, Rousey and other actual fighters are legit, something we all understand.

They do plenty of storyline building on youtube. I think all they are saying is they won't do stupid 50/50 booking like WWE. You won't have a jobber come out of nowhere to win the title like Jinder or a career mid carder get a WM main event just because like Kofi.

AEW has far more excitement and enthusiasm surrounding it right now than WWE.

That might change once they have to serve up a quality product weekly but I trust Cody more than senile Vince at this point.

Well yeah I mean it's new and they have two of the most interesting wrestlers in the world working for them (Omega and Jericho).

Let's see where this thing is after another month.....I still think that bringing back kayfabe is ridiculous....if you start giving me a tale of the tape before every match...well I'll be out before long

I'm sure 10s and 10s of people have watched.

Yeah I know BTE has some episodes with a lot if views but I don't think that translates well to TV ratings

I'm the first to admit that WWE isn't great right now....and the fans made Kofi not WWE....I still think WWE didn't really want Kofi in the title match at WM and they surely didn't want him to win....the fans did that. Kofi's done an OK job carrying the title given everything that has happened...most notably Big E's injury

All Elite Wrestling isn’t just changing the face of the sport inside the ring, but its also bringing issues in everyday society into its domain.

The roster has also changed the landscape on how professional wrestling has been perceived with the introduction of LGBTQ performers to its current line-up of wrestlers including Nyla Rose, who became the first Trans woman to sign for a professional wrestling organisation.

Sounds like a company for SJWs.

And yet they ran with both. Blame the fans? No. Blame the lack of direction right now that has Paul Levesque openly criticizing creative/Vince.

I'm guessing you think Daniel Bryan should have been on the kick off show for WM 30 right?

Outside of the hardcore neckbeard non-showering wrestling fan community most people couldn't name 3 guys on the AEW Roster

This is why I'm excited about it. Wins and Championships don't matter to WWE, and someone who grew up with NWA/WCW like myself this is what we miss most about the product.
That and Jericho being back on TNT
