So, obviously to SD we have:

Owens
Jericho
Zayn

Throw in AJ, Harper, Shinskeee and you've got some damn fine matchups. Orton can do whatever.

so KO and Y2J to SD?

I was thinking about that. And it'd be great to have a SD match on a Raw ppv because of horrible decision making.

Shoulda had Ambrose drop the belt last week.

Also very fricking shocked and very stupid to not have a final big reveal for Raw. Should have saved Wyatt for the show closer.

Terrible booking.

Or maybe because they just aren't anything special? This ain't some shitty overseas indy fed in front of a few hundred Japanese people in some bingo hall.

Naww - that's just what WWE inexplicably does sometimes. Sandow was another example. He manages to start to get his intellectual gimmick over to have it pulled from him and then gets absolutely buried on tv for months. Then he gets the Mizdow thing over and finally when Miz puts him over and he's red hot, he gets released a few months later.

A couple of crazy ideas.

So it'll be Orton vs. Wyatt at Payback. If Wyatt wins it leaves SD without any male singles titles. So Orton stays on SD but drops the title, and SD gets Lesnar. Or Orton retains and Lesnar stays on Raw.

Also SD gets Jericho but not Owens. They still have a match at Payback but Jericho take the title to SD. Or vice versa SD gets Owens but not Jericho and he retains.

Either way seems they need to do something with the titles.

Also Jericho on SD would somewhat makeup for the loss of the Miz.

so what's the "wrestling twitter" response to the crowd during the Reigns/Strowman segment?

Have not checked.

Maybe RIP Roman.

And it seems it doesn't matter if a guy is on SD as he can still wrestle at Payback (Orton and likely at least one of Owens/Jericho).

So Reigns to SD could still be a thing (and it seems like they "wrote" him off Raw). That match still goes down at Payback if one of Reigns/Strowman moves.

And to recap Raw's adds:

Crews
Hawkins
Kalisto
Rhyno and Slater
Bliss
James
Ambrose
Miz and Maryse
Wyatt

So they got a:
Face jobber
Heel jobber
Cruiserweight
Gimmick tag team
Top woman heel
Top? woman face (depends how they push her)
Midcard face champ (who could switch to top card status)
Midcard heel (who could switch to top card status) and hot wife
Top heel (who could switch to mid card)

They definitely got some nice singles pieces (men and women), but other than that it was junk.

SD has a shot to break even, if not come out on top. They will definitely win the tag swap, and will likely break even with the women. The men's singles will determine the overall winner. They lost a lot there and need to make it up.

I expect SD to get at least 2 tag teams and 2 women. They'll also get at least 4 men's singles.

The have Alpha and Usos, so I'm guessing New Day, The Club, and/or Enzo and Caz. At least two but maybe all 3.

For the women I'm guessing Charlotte and either Banks or Brooke. I'm leaning Brooke because Charlotte/Banks has been run through (though Banks and Lynch against Charlotte and Natty could be interesting) and I think they want to do a Banks/Bailey feud.

BUT Raw has Bliss, Jax, and Emma as heels, with James potentially swinging either way. So maybe a Banks heel turn overloads things. Or maybe Banks stays and stays face.

Either way unless they do some turns I can't see 2 women heels coming to SD.

And that brings us to the men's singles.

I could see R Truth being brought in as a jobber and Golddust disappearing.

Definitely think one of Owens/Jericho comes over. I see it being more Jericho to fill the Miz void, and Miz and Jericho would be too much overlap on Raw.

Zayn seems like another mid carder headed over.

And with SD losing Wyatt I definitely see them gaining at least one top guy. Whether that's Reigns, Rollins, Strowman, or Lesnar I don't know.

The entire Seth Rollins WrestleMania story is that his knee was injured, and “no doctor in the world” would clear him for WrestleMania. He had to agree to a non-sanctioned, “hold harmless” match that threatened to permanently end his career as a pro wrestler. He agreed to the match, wrestled for 25 minutes, and spent about 20 of it getting his knee punched and kicked and hit with weapons. So after all that, doctors cleared him for Raw? What kind of medical sense does that make? I know you want him back on the show doing stuff, but that scenario that you decided and booked the longest WrestleMania match around said it couldn’t happen. Is our short term memory so bad now we can’t remember stuff you made five-minute video packages about and showed us five times yesterday?

That's the problem with Internet neckbeard dweebs. They look WAY too much into storyline basically written for younger kids to understand them but just mature enough for adults to stay interested.

Holy shite. It's wrestling. Take it for what it is is on the surface. That's how it's designed. It's never changed and it never will.

Why is Orton vs wyatt for the wwe title on payback? Isn't payback a raw ppv? Why would smackdown allow their champion to defend it on a raw ppv and risk losing their only heavy weight championship?

It's such a heavily manufactured product. Most guys aren't cutting their own promos. They are memorizing and spouting lines already written for them. That's partly why everyone sounds the same.

Because Wyatt is owed a rematch (and the feud wasn't over).

And it's an angle I didn't consider. I didn't see both Wyatt and Orton going to Raw, so I also didn't see Lesnar as possibly SD bound.

But now that it's revealed SD guys can fight at Payback (in cases of matches already booked) I can definitely see the following:

Lesnar goes to SD.

Wyatt beats Orton.

Wyatt starts feuding with Balor.

Balor gets the belt (at their first or second ppv match).

Balor eventually (maybe many months later) succumbs to Wyatt calling to his dark side and the Demon King joins the Wyatt Family.

Either Orton starts feuding with Lesnar again, or they bring in Reigns also to feud with Lesnar starting after Payback (or maybe later if they start Orton/Lesnar to carry it a couple of months before Reigns/Lesnar is setup for Summerslam).

I think we'll have a good idea of how this all goes down tonight. It was VERY odd for Lesnar not to be on Raw. He shows up and Wyatt gets the title. If he doesn't Orton keeps it.

And on that same note SD will get either Owens or Jericho. My money is on Jericho and he wins the belt at Payback. If Owens goes to SD he keeps the belt.

I think one of Reigns/Strowman also goes to SD, and my money is on Reigns. Looking at last night they basically killed his character off of Raw. Unless they just REALLY wanted to hype the Payback match.

No SD thread so last second predictions.

Jericho opens the show.

Alpha beats the Usos and Enzo and Cas come out to challenge them. New Day comes out to make it a triple threat.

Charlotte and Brooke come out during a women's match.

Reigns comes out near the end, followed by Lesnar.
