AEW's main selling point seems to be "We're not WWE!"
It features a lot of wrestlers whose gimmick and brand seems to be "Yeah... we're too good for WWE..." and they wear the fact they reject WWE like some kind of huge selling point. It's extremely snobbish in a way and arrogant and makes it hard to get behind.

AEW is basically The Clique v2.0. Except they just started a company behind someone else money.

The first 3 names on your list are all arrogant wrestlers who think they are "too good" for WWE. I seriously think none of them are that great and they ride on that "I'm too good for WWE!" to make themselves seem better and more important than they really are.
Cody would be a midcard talent if he were still in WWE.
The Young Bucks are a good tag team but we've seen good tag teams like the Revival come in and do nothing
Omega would be, at best, another Styles. AJ Styles is great, but I feel Styles had more hype and accomplishments pre-WWE than Omega has.

ROH has no real stars right now and Bubba Ray is quickly turning into the HHH of ROH. I believe he actually does some booking for them. NJPW has some really talented guys but its hard to get over in America with a large audience if you can't speak English. Its why Asuka and Shinsuke are going nowhere right now. Guys like Okada and Ibushi are phenomenal wrestlers but can't do an English promo. NJPW's American popularity was based mostly on Kenny and the Bucks. That's why MSG sold out so quick and why Dallas is struggling to sell tickets. I think they will team up with AEW at some point or just stop coming to America.

Its not so much that they're rejecting WWE, but more that they're proving WWE creative holds people back. Cody is average at best in the ring but his character work is great. The Bucks are marketing geniuses and have made a lot of money selling tshirts and have gotten themselves over with a popular youtube show. Omega would never be allowed to do the matches he does in WWE. They have shown other wrestlers that you can make good money and have creative freedom outside of WWE and that there's an audience for that.

More accomplishments? Absolutely. More hype? No way. I’m not bashing AJ Styles either. AJ is the main reason I got back into wrestling. There’s a reason WWE went hard after TYB and Omega. TYB are the heart and soul of AEW. Tony Kahn wouldn’t have started that company without them, he’s said as much. Kenny Omega is their star power right now unless they’re able to establish new ones with their brand or poach a WWE name or two. AEW is dead in the water without Omega. He was an absolute must have.
Regarding Ospreay. He should be in the top “gaijin” role that White is in sooner rather than later. He’s a superior all around talent to Ricochet and he’s closing in fast on Kota Ibushi. I haven’t seen someone improve so much in such a short period of time. He’s also seemingly very happy in NJPW right now from what people are saying.
Here’s a free Ospreay match from about a week ago that’s really fun for anyone curious from White Wolf Wrestling (I have no idea who that is).

I have never even intimated that they will unseat WWE. Not once. In fact, I’ve never seen anyone on TD suggest that they’d unseat WWE. You’re just making things up out of thin air. You seem to be carrying around a lot of baggage and anger towards anyone who is remotely excited about AEW.

Supercard over the weekend was the first time I’d seen them put subtitles on the pre-match promos for the English commentary stream on NJPW world. How hard is it to translate it to English, so we can at least understand the basic outline of the story behind the match? That’s basic stuff there, and it shows how much they’re in over their head. Harold Meij was supposed to come in and be this Western expansion guru and from what I can tell, he’s mostly just pissed some of the wrestlers and a lot of the fans off.

Or the "GIVE THEM HEALTHCARE!" chant or "FORM A UNION!" chant that they all said they would do in response to John Oliver
John Oliver knew those chants would never get started but it got plenty of attention. That skit by and large achieved it's purpose.
As for WWE vs AEW, I don't have a side but WWE's product is awful right now. Last night is one of the few Raws I watch lately and it left me not wanting to watch more. Who knows about AEW at this stage but something different is better than that shite I watched last night and have been watching in decline over the last .ten years.
