I never understood the mass surrender without a fight. There was some underground resistance, but not much. It seems to me they were waiting for some one else to die on the cross for them again. Some kind of a perceived privilege for the chosen ones. I don't get it.
At least the American Japs were treated better.

It was dropped through holes in the ceiling. Zyklon B was in the form of pellets. Not trying to be a wiseass just pointing out reality from fiction. Now carbon monoxide as was used in other Polish camps perhaps was used in that way. Treblinka and a few other camps were said to have used the carbon monoxide method if memory serves.

Exactly right! All of these stupid fricks in this country that are for gun control would be the same dumb fricks getting on the bus thinking the government was taking them to that magic kingdom they build with all of that free money we have available. People are so fricking stupid. anybody that is for gun control has no idea why the 2nd amendment was even written into the constitution.

Probably because you have an inaccurate understanding of the context. It's not hard to understand if you are aware of the true historical context, which is that there was not clear knowledge of some plan of mass slaughter. Not amongst the Jews, German people, or Allied powers.
Most people that "can't understand" struggle to view WWII outside of their postwar prism.

The Nazis did start out using sealed box trucks modified to pump the exhaust into the back but this proved to be inefficient due to the limited number of people that could be killed at once. They also used trucks and I think generators to pump carbon monoxide into sealed rooms as well. They did this for a while before after some experimentation on Soviet POW's did they learn that using the pesticide Zyklon B would allow them to really ramp up their killings.

apart from some of the reasons already mentioned (lack of outside support, lack of arms, and a lack of knowledge about precisely where they were going), typically jews had accommodated gentiles and relied on the authorities to protect them from pogroms and other forms of popular anti-semitism. in the case of the holocaust, it was the authorities themselves who were doing the persecuting (of course, with plenty of help from individuals in germany and the german east).
but even then there were uprisings in berlin (the rosenstrasse protests), and in the warsaw, lvov and bialystock ghettos. and there were uprisings in the camps themselves. there were several revolts by sonderkommandos in auchwitz and sobibor, where they blew up one of the crematoriums and killed ss men. that's to say nothing of the jews who were parts of underground resistance movements against the nazis.
