I had no idea "Friendsgiving" was a political thing now.
I just thought of it as a less formal thanksgiving between close friends. We did it 2 weeks ago with my wife's friend group. We had a great time
It wasnt typical Thanksgiving food, had some smoked brisket, pot roast, along with a couple of sides. Also alcohol, lots of alcohol.
I never get to drink at Thanksgiving, in respect for older family members who don't drink at all. So that was definitely a fun event

I’ve never hosted one but I’ve attended one with friends who either can’t go home for Thanksgiving or they don’t have close relatives to celebrate with.
