I believe its the only one where the main event competitors are all decised. Crazy. Iconic moment. Edit: And Mania 5, 6

Sid Justice
King Kong Bundy
Macho Man
Ultimate Warrior have all passed on.

So that eliminates 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8

Edited to add Yokozuna which eliminates 9

Mr T is only one remaining from Wrestlemania 1: piper and Paul Orndoff have passed.

Sgt Slaughter and Ted Dibiase and Bret Hart are the only other ones left from Wrestlemania 1-10 main events

It's kind of crazy how many of the top 10 matches in the US promotions involved Steamboat. Hulk, Andre, Savage, and Warrior took so much oxygen that he is criminally overlooked. Give me Punk-Steamboat in their primes over any other match in the WWE era.

Bret Hart is still alive

I refuse to acknowledge that travesty of an ending as the main event

I was watching WrestleRock 86 last week and came across the match. I'm shocked it hasn't been buried in WWE's vault. I do not let the woke mob to change my opinions about such stuff. Little T (Haiti Kid) and Little Tokyo were hilarious. T came in with enough gold that he had to start taking it off as he was announced first. Little Tokyo...well the announcers acted like it was still 1945. They worked hard but it was obvious that they were out there to give people something to laugh at for 20 minutes.

With all that said, those midgets weren't young. Littlebrook and Tokyo were alive during WW2. LL was the Moolah of midgets. He trained all three of the others. At WM 3, Little Beaver (in his last match) was just as old as LL. The fact that Bundy piled them up and splashed them is amazing. Those were the days...

I believe he was including the referee. Gorilla's son was the 3rd man for 3, 5, and 6.

I watched a lot of wrestling mid to late 80’s as a kid. But I was more of an NWA guy..Dusty, Flair, Arn, Tully, Midnight Express, Rock and Roll Express, Windham..good stuff

It may not have aged like a fine wine, but those midgets took a beating and I still laughed my arse off then & now.

AWA for me. Saturday morning was cartoons, AWA, and then WWF, Saturday late afternoon was NWA on TBS, and Sunday night was WCCW.

I love going back and watching the old NWA stuff. If you time out the wrestling action, it's not much different than most of what WWE does now. We didn't have 12+ "PPVs"/Special events like COC in a year. Back then we only had a handful and there was a reason to have 15-20 minute matches. Most televised matches back then were about selling tickets for the house shows so they had a ton of time for promos. Not to knock them but there's not much difference between AEW's weekly show and their PPVs. Blood used to be accidental or just at PPVs. Now they've got Plumber Moxley blazing nonstop.

Prime Shawn Michaels vs. prime Seth Rollins would be one hell of a match as well…
