Worked at an Italian restaurant when I first moved to NY owned by the mob...Cash tables were always deleted and I saw many a beating in the basement and was told never look....some of the dinners were something out of a movie and I loved it

Dude....the guys were fat as frick wearing jump suits and when I did peek they fricking couldn't breath lol...and the basement had Sopranos memorabilia all over...we even had the guy from the sopranos that ended being the gay guy do book reviews for the restaurant

I worked for a very large construction company in Louisiana who was owned by some Italian brothers up north who were very connected. It was obvious sometimes when they would come in town based on the guys they traveled with. But it never really changed the way I did my job. I once heard that we won a few contracts that were disputed only because of their connections.

I used to work for a guy that was "mobbed up".
a family brought him in from italy, found him a wife, so he could become a citizen(they sleep in separate wings of the house) Ran local card games, betting, collections, and importing "stuff" among other legitimate business(bars and real estate).
He carries around his revolver in a Louis Vuitton pouch with a gangster wad of cash
