Poppycock. $50,000 gets you into a new Tesla model 3 with full self driving. Tax rebate of $7500 lowers price to $42,500. People are paying twice that for pick up trucks. And by the way you can get super cruise in most Denali packages.

And maybe 20% of the American public can comfortably afford a 50k vehicle. They'll still buy them of course, but it's ridiculous.

Wut? Go look at the used Y market. A 5,000 mile 2025 Y can be found for $35,000. That's with the $8,000 full self driving package. People are spending triple that for some vehicles.

Found everywhere, no, but they are all over already if you pay attention to seeing them. But they don't need to be ubiquitous, a single FSD Tesla does its own thing, having thousands of them on the road just makes it safer, but it's not necessary for your single Tesla to be safe.

Again, your lack of knowledge on this subject shines through.

High-end GPUs or specialized chips (like Tesla’s Full Self-Driving chip) can perform billions of calculations per second, far surpassing the brain’s raw computational throughput for specific tasks.

There are areas where self driving can’t understand the nuance needed that the human brain understands context better, like a construction workers gesture. All you have to do is take over the wheel at that point.

Human nature tends to fear what it doesn’t understand. It sounds like you are operating from this level of fear and lack of understanding.

I supervised programming teams designed these programs. You think you are wiser than you actually are.

That’s why the programs and you are not ready for prime time.

Says the guy who has zero clue about how basic lane changing works and response times in self driving cars. Try again Walmart greeter.
