I’m not too crazy about taking July 4 when it falls mid-week, so I wouldn’t mind banking that one.
Same with my wife. She hates that it fell out mid-week and has to go back to work for 2 more days. Especially since her daughter is visiting and planning on leaving shortly to head back home.

If i take off more than 3 business days at a time the workload when I get back isn’t even worth it. Regardless, I’ll usually take off a full week in the spring and summer, and then use my other two for Fridays and Mondays during football season and the holidays

I earn 2.5 days of leave per month. I maintain around 30 days and take 10 days off every time I get to 40.

So this is the perfect time to take two vacation days.

My previous company let us do that. Want to work on a holiday? You get an extra PTO day to use.

I have "permissive time off" so I take given holidays and then off when I need/want.

They aren’t vacation days. It’s off with holiday pay.
Hell I get four weeks off a year and don’t even use them all so I carry over to the next year:
Same here. Plus I accrue 8 hours of just straight sick leave each month, too, which also carries over indefinitely and can be used toward retirement.

Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
I don’t get these off.
I got 3 floating holidays that I’m using in September for a 5 day trip.
I worked barely a half day yesterday then had normal July 4th fun. I’ll take the extra day every time.
