OT, I have failed you today, I should feel bad, and I do feel bad.

Care to elaborate? I moved to RTP recently and it's great here.

User can likely only elaborate on the 30 mile radius he has never left.

I just recently moved to tri cities area of Tn

I’m in Tri-Cities, particularly Johnson City, for work here for the next two months. TN has been on my radar for a while now planning my escape from Louisiana. Was looking originally more toward Nashville area (Santa Fe Likely) but the east of the state is really nice. Made the 4 Hour drive up to Charlottesville two weekends ago to visit my cousin.
No state income tax as my attention and the fact that the weather has not had a heat index in the 90s for the past month has my heart. And the fact that this entire month of August is tax free on food from the supermarket makes me think this is some kind of utopia.

I’m in the Staybridge suites off of N Roan St. if you have any good local food recs near me. (And don’t say Pal’s! )

We evaluated middle TN and a couple spots in NC, and the cost of living was a one of the big factors for ending up in middle TN. That plus several hours more central when it comes to going on road trips, not just closer to family but the distance circle of a 1-2 day driver covers more of the US.
