Would you intervene in a fight between a man and a woman?

With all the craziness and unpredictability with people these days, I'm not jumping in and saving anybody that's not a relative, friend or gf on my own.

This guy told me he pulled stopped a guy from possibly hitting another woman on the street only for the woman to turn around with a knife. She swung it at him and barely missed his stomach by fractions of an inch. It even ripped his shirt wide open.

We hear and read about people getting hurt or killed from fights or attacks, then people are quick to criticize the bystanders. Easier said than done.

I find it ridiculous that people expect a random individual man to step in and break up altercations when people can end up dead by getting into other people business. I just call the cops and leave it at that.

There's a reason why cops absolutely hate domestic calls. The victim can turn on you in an instant.

If the woman started it, thinking a man wouldn't retaliate...nope. Equal rights, honey.

If a guy initiates it and hits the woman, I'm stepping in.

Who exactly are you talking about? No one has ever confronted me for watching something going down between two randos.

I wouldn't want someone getting in between me and my wife working stuff out. I extend the same courtesy.

None of my business.

But I'd probably film it though.

domestic disputes are some of the most dangerous calls cops get.

Depends on how big the guy/girl is.

If you intervene, you instantly become part of the arrest, lawsuit, news story, etc...

It's really an unnecessary headache. Also, you miss out on the chance to film a sweet vertical video.

No. If you're with a dude who beats on you then you volunteered for that beating.

Only way I would do something is if a person (man or woman) is down and is still being pummeled.

I'm speaking of the aftermath. People go on social media or whatever and spout crap like: "Why didn't those people do something instead of standing around?", not knowing the situation.

How will you know he initiated it? How will you really know any of the details? That's the problem with getting involved in someone else's business.

Depends on what they are fighting about and how bad either side is getting beat.

But I'm not going to step in to fight. Just to try to pull one off the other. I've never been in a fight and I would like to keep that record going.
